Military & Veteran Support

Support for Military Personnel, Veterans, & Family

A calm and steady space for those who serve—and those who carry the weight beside them.

At Paloma’s Serenity, we understand that military life is not just a job—it’s a lifestyle, a legacy, and sometimes, a silent burden. Whether you wear the uniform, love someone who does, or are a child growing up in a world shaped by deployments and change—you are welcome here.

This is a space where your service is honored, your struggle is seen, and your story matters.

For Active-Duty & Veterans

Military service can shape every part of who you are—your sense of purpose, identity, connection, and even how your nervous system responds to daily life. Over time, this can take a toll, especially when layered with trauma, transitions, and the pressure to "push through."

We offer calm, nonjudgmental support for:

  • Combat trauma and moral injury

  • Hypervigilance, sleep issues, or emotional numbing

  • Anxiety, depression, or quiet isolation

  • Identity shifts post-deployment or retirement

  • The invisible weight of transition or reintegration

  • Trauma held in the body and the nervous system

Here, there’s no need to explain the culture or code—we get it. Therapy at Paloma’s Serenity offers a soft landing place for the parts of you that never had a safe space to rest.

For Military Spouses & Partners

You serve too—just in quieter, often unseen ways. You hold it all together through deployments, relocations, parenting solo, identity loss, and constant adjustment. That’s an emotional load most people don’t understand.

This is a space to reconnect with yourself, process the impact of military life, and be deeply supported in your own healing. We support spouses and partners with:

  • Emotional burnout, anxiety, or loss of identity

  • Grief around missed milestones and constant goodbyes

  • Trauma from partner injuries, loss, or betrayal

  • Finding your voice and boundaries within the demands of service life

  • Reclaiming your sense of Self beneath the layers of caregiving

You don’t have to carry everything alone. Here, you’re allowed to fall apart—and rebuild—gently and in your own time.

For Military Teens

Growing up in a military family means learning how to say goodbye, stay strong, and adapt—often without the tools to express what’s happening inside. Teens in military families may be resilient, but they also need safe places to feel, process, and be supported.

We offer age-appropriate support for:

  • Deployment stress and separation anxiety

  • Grief, loss, or fear after a parent’s injury or trauma

  • Emotional or behavioral changes related to moves or transitions

  • Feeling unseen or overwhelmed in highly structured environments

  • Holding emotions they don’t have words for yet

Therapy gives military-connected teens a calm place to be fully themselves—to play, speak, cry, or simply rest. We work with both teen and caregivers to support emotional regulation, secure attachment, and long-term resilience.

Our Approach

At Paloma’s Serenity, military-focused therapy is:

  • Trauma-informed & body-based
We use Brainspotting, somatic work, and IFS-informed care to help release trauma stored deep in the nervous system—without needing to retell painful stories.

  • Culturally attuned
As a military spouse and U.S. Navy Chief, I understand the culture, language, and expectations from lived experience—not just training.

  • Flexible and inclusive
Whether you're active duty, reserve, retired, or a dependent, therapy here meets you where you are—with compassion, not assumption.

  • Rooted in relationships
Healing often begins in relationship—with a calm presence who sees you clearly. That’s what this space offers.

You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone

Whether you're navigating trauma, transition, or simply the emotional weight of military life, we’re here to walk with you. You’ve given so much. Let this be the space that gives back.
